L'attesissimo GP d'Italia, valido quale decima prova del campionato del mondo 2014 di motocross, non ha deluso le aspettative dei 35.000 spettatori accorsi sullo spettacolare circuito di Maggiora e del pubblico televisivo (audience di 1.059.000) che ha potuto seguire in diretta su Italia 1 ed Italia 2 tutte le gare.
Come annunciato, anche la EDWorld è stata presente con una propria area espositiva dove sono state presentate le collezioni di abbigliamento gara e protezioni Korax motocross e mountainbike, i caschi Bell, e diversi articoli che Top Gun fabbrica per vari team e per la stessa Youth Stream che organizza il mondiale.
I numerosissimi appassionati che sono transitati al nostro stand hanno così potuto far man bassa di adesivi e cataloghi dei vari marchi, oltre a partecipare ad un simpatico concorso che vedrà uno dei tantissimi che hanno compilato il tagliandino del concorso, vincere un completo da motocross replica Ivo Monticelli della collezione Korax 2015. Presto verrà dunque notificato il suo nome sia su facebook che con una news, state connessi!
La presenza Korax e Top Gun non si è però limitata allo stand, tutta la macchina organizzativa della Youth Stream che gestisce il mondiale motocross ha infatti sfoggiato la collezione MXGP-Top Gun-Korax di abbigliamento, e dato risalto ai due marchi in pista con banner posizionati lungo il percorso.
Ed è proprio dalla pista che sono venute grandi soddisfazioni grazie alla grinta ed all'impegno che tutti i Korax riders hanno profuso dando sempre il massimo.
Se Tony Cairoli nella MXGP e Jeffrey Herlings nella MX2 hanno entusiasmato tutti vincendo rispettivamente le loro categorie, Ivo Monticelli nella nuova tenuta Korax "the Monti replica" bianco-arancio ha fatto esplodere un boato tra la folla quando si è portato in testa subito dopo il via della prima manche. Peccato davvero per la caduta con Tixier che lo ha fatto ripartire dalle retrovie e poi nella foga della rimonta, cadere una seconda volta, questa volta con un esito più duro da accettare, metacarpo della mano destra fratturato con conseguente stop di 3 settimane.
Un plauso di merito Ivo se lo merita comunque tutto. La crescita che ha avuto negli ultimi gran premi il pilota del team KTM Marchetti è stupefacente, ed anche qui a Maggiora fin dal sabato, con l'ottavo posto ottenuto nella manche di qualifica, il marchigiano aveva dimostrato di avere le carte in regola per puntare ad un ottimo risultato. Come Ivo stesso ha confermato, il rientro è previsto in luglio per il GP della Finlandia. Forza Ivo, ti aspettiamo!
Sempre in MX2 abbiamo finalmente rivisto Maxime Desprey ai livelli che gli competono. Dopo la brutta caduta nel GP del Brasile il francese ha avuto qualche difficoltà a ritornare in forma, ma il dodicesimo posto assoluto (ottenuto con un 11° ed un 14° posto) fanno ben sperare per le prossime gare.
Anche il nuovo acquisto del team Honda Jtech, il russo Vsevolod Bryliakov, nonostante la sua esperienza nel mondiale MX2 di quest'anno sia iniziata solo dal GP di Francia due settimane fa, ha fatto vedere che ha grinta da vendere, un quindicesimo posto nella prima manche ed una caduta nella seconda che lo ha portato al ritiro per problemi meccanici, hanno fatto promettere al giovane e biondissimo pilota Honda di voler fare molto meglio già dalla prossima prova in Germania.
Passando invece alla MXGP può reputarsi ben soddisfatto il nostro Pier Filippo Bertuzzo che all'esordio nel mondiale quest'anno ha fatto vedere di poter lottare tranquillamente per la zona punti. Tutti soddisfatti dunque in casa Yamaha-Caparvi Racing grazie al diciassettesimo posto del pilota veneto nella prima manche dopo aver lottato a lungo intorno alla 15° posizione, ed al 23° nella seconda, ma solo a causa di qualche caduta di troppo. Punti iridati sia nella prima che nella seconda manche anche per Klemen Gercar grazie ad un 18° ed ad un 20° posto.
Per finire, anche se gli abbiamo già dedicato una news specifica, non potevamo non citare Thomas Olsen, che con la vittoria nella gara valida per il campionato europeo MX2 ha reso questo GP davvero memorabile.

The highly anticipated Italian GP, valid as the tenth round of the 2014 World Motocross chanpionship, did not disappoint the expectations of the 35,000 spectators that attended the spectacular circuit of Maggiora and the TV audience (audience of 1,059,000) that could follow in live on Italian channels Italia 1 and Italia 2 all races.

The presence of Korax and Top Gun, however, was not limited to the stand, all the Youth Stream staff has in fact worn the MXGP-Top Gun-Korax clothing collection, and gave prominence to the two marks on the track with banners positioned along the circuit. And it is right from the race track that comes great satisfaction thanks to the determination and commitment all Korax riders have given.
If Tony Cairoli in MXGP class and Jeffrey Herlings in MX2 wowed everyone by winning their respective categories, Ivo Monticelli in the new seal Korax "the Monti replica" white-orange, made the crowd blow up with a roar when he pulled ahead on the first heat. Too bad for the fall with Tixier that made him start from the back and then in the heat of the comeback, fall a second time, this time with an outcome harder to accept, fractured metacarpal of the right hand with consequent stop of 3 weeks.
Ivo deserves a round of applause anyway. The growth of the KTM Marchetti rider seen in the last Grand Prix is amazing, and even here in Maggiora since Saturday, with the eighth-place finish in the qualifying heat, the rider from Marche region in Italy, had been shown to have the cards in order to point a good result. As Ivo himself confirmed, the return is expected in July for the GP of Finland. Get well soon,we will wait for you!
Also in MX2 we finally saw Maxime Desprey at the level of his competence. After a bad fall in the brazilian GP the French rider had some trouble with getting back in shape, but the twelfth place overall (obtained with a 11th and a 14th place) bode well for the coming races.
Even the new Honda Jtech rider, the Russian Vsevolod Brylyakov, despite his experience in the MX2 World Championship this year started only from the French Grand Prix two weeks ago, showed his skill and after the fifteenth place in the first and a fall in the second round that led him to retire with mechanical problems, the young blonde Honda rider already promised he wants to do much better at the next round in Germany.
Moving on to MXGP can be felt well satisfied with our Pier Filippo Bertuzzo that debut in the world chanpionship this year showing he can fight without problem for points' positions. So everyone is happy at Yamaha Caparvi Racing team thanks to the 17th place of the pilot coming from Veneto region in the first round, after struggling for a long time around the 15th position, and to the 23th position in the second, but only because of some falls. Championship points in both the first and second rounds for Klemen Gercar too thanks to a 18th and a 20th place.
Finally, although we have already dedicated him a specific news, we could not avoid to cite Thomas Olsen, who with the victory in the race valid for the European MX2 Championship has made this GP a truly memorable one.
